Fifth and Sixth grade teacher

Elizabeth Scott teaches 5th and 6th grade. She has lived in Clarkdale nearly her entire life, and is a 4th generation Arizonan! She attended Clarkdale-Jerome elementary school, Mingus Union High School, and graduated from Arizona State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

After college Elizabeth taught 7th grade English for 3 years at Mountain Trail Middle School in north Phoenix. Before her daughter Olivia was born Elizabeth and her husband Aaron were blessed to have the opportunity to move back to the Verde Valley after 7 years in Phoenix. From 2005 to 2008 Elizabeth enjoyed being a full-time homemaker. In 2008 she joined the staff here at St. Joseph’s and taught 5th through 7th grade until the birth of her second child, Silas. Elizabeth is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education.

She is honored to be returning to St. Joseph’s.  Elizabeth believes all children are gifts from God and that He has a special plan for every child. She strives to instill this belief through educating His children and celebrating each child’s unique and special gifts and abilities.
